Worldwide K9 Academy (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information obtained through our website and services.
By accessing this website, purchasing a course, enrolling in training, creating an account, accessing the online classroom, participating in coaching, viewing course materials, or otherwise utilizing any services offered by Worldwide K9 Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy.
1.Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Billing information
- Mailing address
- Dog information (name, breed, age, photograph, behavioral history)
- Course purchases and access entitlements
- Lesson progress, completions, and the notes you write on lessons
- Questions you submit on a lesson, and any video you attach to one
- Your conversations with our AI training assistant
- IP address
- Browser and device information
- Website usage data
Payment information is processed through secure third-party payment processors and is not stored directly by Worldwide K9 Academy.
2.How We Use Information
We may use the information we collect to:
- Process purchases
- Provide online classroom access
- Deliver educational content
- Track your progress and release lessons on schedule
- Answer your training questions, including through our AI assistant
- Provide customer support
- Improve our website and services

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in our emails. Please note that you cannot opt out of transactional or administrative emails related to your account or purchases.
4.Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We may use the following technologies to enhance your experience:

- Advertising tracking tools
These technologies help us improve website performance, measure marketing effectiveness, and enhance user experience. You may adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some features of our website may not function properly as a result.
Specifically, we use the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel and similar advertising tools on our website. These tools share information about your activity on our site, such as pages viewed and purchases made, with the advertising platform. That information may be used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you advertisements for our services on other platforms. Under some privacy laws this is treated as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 10 for how to opt out.
5.Third-Party Service Providers
We may share information with trusted third-party providers. The providers we rely on to operate the online school are:
- Stripe — payment processing. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never held by us.
- Supabase — account authentication and the database holding your profile, dogs, progress, notes and questions.
- Cloudflare — website and application hosting, and the code that processes purchases and account requests.
- Vimeo — video hosting and delivery for course lessons.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email such as welcome messages and password resets.
- OpenAI — the language model and retrieval provider behind our AI training assistant. When you use Ask WWK9, your questions, recent Ask WWK9 conversation history, and relevant training context may be sent to OpenAI to generate an answer and retrieve relevant WorldWide K9 Academy course material. Relevant context may include your first name, your dog's name, breed and training notes, and your current course and lesson. We instruct OpenAI not to store the AI response request for model processing.
- Kit — delivery of marketing email to subscribers who have opted in.
These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services on our behalf and are required to protect it in a manner consistent with this Policy. We do not permit any of them to use your information to train artificial intelligence models.
6.Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable security measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7.Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete the information.
8.Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information
- Opt out of marketing communications
Requests may be submitted using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
If you hold a student account, you can delete it yourself at any time without contacting us. See Section 13.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us.
Worldwide K9 Academy is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
10.California Privacy Rights
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), including:
- The right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
- The right to request deletion of personal information
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
Sale and sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, as described in Section 4, we use the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel and similar advertising tools, which share information about your activity on our website with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under the CCPA this may be considered "sharing," and in some interpretations a "sale," of personal information.
How to opt out. To opt out of this sharing, email support@worldwidek9academy.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." You may also limit this tracking by adjusting your browser cookie settings, by using a browser or extension that transmits an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, or by changing your ad preferences directly with the advertising platform. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where we are able to detect them.
You may also exercise any of the rights listed above, or submit a request through an authorized agent, using the contact information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
11.Social Media Publishing Application
Worldwide K9 Academy operates an internal application used to schedule and publish our own marketing and educational content to social media accounts that we own and control. This Section 11 describes that application specifically and applies in addition to the rest of this Policy.
Who uses it. The application is used solely by Worldwide K9 Academy personnel to publish Worldwide K9 Academy content to Worldwide K9 Academy social media accounts. It is not offered to the public, and we do not publish content on behalf of any other person or business.
Platforms we connect to. The application connects, through official developer APIs and standard OAuth 2.0 authorization, to Facebook and Instagram (Meta), TikTok, and YouTube (Google).
Information the application receives. When an account is connected, the platform provides us with:
- The account identifier assigned by that platform
- The account username, display name, and profile picture
- Basic account settings needed to publish correctly, such as available privacy options and maximum permitted video length
- An OAuth access token and, where the platform issues one, a refresh token
- After publishing, the identifier and public link of the content that was posted
The application does not request, receive, or store the personal information of anyone who views, follows, likes, or comments on our content. It does not read direct messages. It does not access follower lists or audience data.
Content we store. The application stores the material we create for publication, including captions, hashtags, video and image files, scheduled publication times, and a record of whether each post succeeded or failed.
How access tokens are protected. OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are encrypted before they are written to our database, using AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption. The encryption keys are held separately from the database and are never stored alongside the encrypted values. Tokens are never displayed in the application interface, never included in logs, and are decrypted only at the moment a publishing request is made.
Service providers. The application runs on infrastructure provided by Supabase, which hosts our database and media storage, and Cloudflare, which provides hosting and executes the scheduled publishing process. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations.
Limits on our use of platform data. Information obtained through these platform APIs is used only to schedule, publish, and confirm publication of our own content. We do not use it for advertising or ad targeting. We do not sell it, license it, or transfer it to any third party for their own purposes. We do not use it to build user profiles, and we do not use it to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models. We retain only what is necessary for the application to function.
Retention. Access tokens and refresh tokens are retained only while the corresponding account remains connected. When an account is disconnected, or when a token is revoked at the platform, the stored credentials for that account are deleted from our systems. Published content records are retained for our own historical reference and may be deleted on request.
YouTube API Services. The application uses YouTube API Services to upload and publish videos to YouTube channels that we own. By authorizing the application to access a YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information obtained through YouTube API Services is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Policy by reference for that purpose. You may review and revoke the application's access to your Google account at any time through the Google security settings page. Consistent with Google's Limited Use requirements, data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the publishing functions described above, is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those functions or as required by law, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans except where required for security, to comply with applicable law, or with the account holder's explicit consent.
Meta and TikTok. Information obtained through the Meta Graph API and the TikTok Content Posting API is likewise used only to publish our own content to our own accounts. Your use of those platforms remains governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
12.Revoking Access and Deleting Your Data
If you have connected a social media account to our publishing application, you may disconnect it and have the associated data deleted at any time. You have three options, and any one of them is sufficient.
- Disconnect within the application. Removing a connected account from the application deletes the stored access token, refresh token, and account details for that account immediately.
- Revoke at the platform. You may revoke the application's access directly through your account settings on each platform: Google and YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, or the Security and Permissions section of your TikTok account settings. Revoking at the platform immediately invalidates the token we hold.
- Request deletion by email. Email support@worldwidek9academy.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and identify the connected account. We will delete the stored credentials and associated records within thirty (30) days and confirm in writing when it is done.
Deletion of connected account data does not affect content that has already been published to a social media platform. Content published to a platform must be removed through that platform.
13.Your Student Account and How to Delete It
If you have created an account at school.worldwidek9academy.com, this Section 13 describes what that account holds and how to remove it. It applies to the online school and to our iOS and Android applications, which use the same account.
Deleting your account from inside the school or the app. Sign in, open Account, and scroll to the bottom of the page. Choose Delete my account and confirm. No email, phone call or support request is required, and the deletion happens immediately rather than being queued for review.
What is deleted. Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your login and profile
- Every dog you have added, including photographs
- All lesson progress and course completions
- Every note you have written on a lesson
- Questions you have asked and the answers to them
- Your conversations with the AI training assistant
- Access to every course you have purchased
This cannot be undone. Courses you have bought cannot be restored afterwards, and deleting your account is not a refund request. If you want a refund, contact us before deleting.
What is kept, and why. We retain a record of each purchase: the amount, the date, the currency, the course purchased and the payment reference held by our payment processor. We are required to keep these records for tax and accounting purposes. Your name and email address are removed from them at the moment you delete your account, so what remains is a transaction with no person attached.
Your membership. If you hold an active All Access membership, deleting your WorldWide K9 Academy account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Apple or another third-party billing provider. You must cancel that subscription through the provider that manages your billing. For Apple subscriptions, you can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting your account does not itself create a refund for any remaining subscription period.
If you would rather we did it for you. Email support@worldwidek9academy.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" from the address your account is registered to. We will complete the deletion within thirty (30) days and confirm in writing when it is done.
14.Changes to This Policy
Worldwide K9 Academy reserves the right to update this Policy at any time.
Changes become effective immediately upon posting to the website. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
